    What is Freemasonry ?
  • It is NOT a religion.        
  • It is a Fraternity of men.
  • Freemasonry teaches moral and social lessons using symbols, tools and the language of
    ancient builders.  The use of these craft symbols of building a structure help teach and
    strengthen character in men.
    How do I become a Freemason?
  • Be age 18 or older.
  • Be an Illinois resident for at least six months (unless waived).
  • Be able to read and write English.
  • Be of good moral and social character.
  • Believe in a Supreme Deity.
